Police were called to an alleged assault in Lyme Regis
A MAN has been released on police bail after a woman was allegedly assaulted in west Dorset.
At around 3.30pm on Thursday, Dorset Police were called to reports of an alleged assault on a woman outside Tesco Express in Broad Street in Lyme Regis.
A Dorset Police spokeswoman said: "It is reported that a 34-year-old Bournemouth woman was kicked and punched by a man.
"She did not sustain any visible injuries.
"A 46-year-old man from Bristol was found in Langmoor Gardens by a local PCSO and subsequently arrested by officers on suspicion of assault. He has been released on police bail pending further enquiries until the beginning of December 2016."
