PLANS to design a mural in a tunnel on the Rodwell Trail in Weymouth will be discussed at a meeting this week.
The Friends of the Rodwell Trail group is holding an open meeting as part of its AGM where ideas will be shared.
It is hoped there will be a design competition open to the community to transform the Wyke Road tunnel.
A spokesman for the group said: “We have always worried about the somewhat depressing atmosphere of the tunnel but now driven by the enthusiasm of one of our committee members, Paula Klaentschi, who has come up with a grand but definitely achievable idea we feel we can turn this non-descript thoroughfare into a ‘must visit’ attraction.”
Ideas and ambitions will be shared at the meeting and the public can find out how they can get involved.
The meeting will be held at at St Nicholas Church, Buxton Road, from 7pm on Wednesday, December 7. All welcome.
