POLICE are investigating after a people carrier was stolen last night and found on fire in Dorset.
Fire crews from Sherborne were called out to reports of a car on fire at the junction of Checcombe Lane and Marston Road at 10.04pm last night.
The vehicle was 'well alight' on arrival as the crew tackled the flames to extinguish the blaze.
Dorset Police were called to the scene at 10.14pm by the fire service.
The people carrier completely destroyed was a silver Toyota registered to a man in Sherborne.
A spokesman for Dorset Police said they are now waiting for the fire service to determine the cause of the fire and an investigation is underway.
The vehicle was stolen from an address in McCreery Road.
