EMERGENCY services have been searching overnight for a missing man from Swanage.

Barry Cullimore, 53, was last seen leaving his work at Leeson House in Langton Matravers at around midday yesterday.

He returned home to Laycrafts Lane at some point and left his car, mobile phone and bicycle and has not been seen or heard from since.

The NPAS police helicopter, HM Coastguard and volunteers from Dorset Search and Rescue also assisted in the search overnight.

He is described as white, of medium build, around five feet 10 inches tall and with light brown medium-length hair. He also has a big greying beard and was probably wearing shorts, a T-shirt and sandals.

Officers have been carrying out searches in and around the Swanage area in a bid to find Barry but he has not yet been located.

Dorset Police is now appealing for the public’s help to find Mr Cullimore.

Chief Inspector Heather Dixey, of Dorset Police, said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Barry as we know he has been upset lately.

“I would urge anyone who has seen him or a man matching his description to contact police urgently.

“I would also ask Barry if he sees this appeal to please contact us or your family to let us know you are safe. We are all very worried about you.”

Anyone with information about Barry’s whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email 101@dorset.pnn.police.uk or by calling 101, quoting incident number 22:464.
