A car has crashed into a lamp post by Wool Station.
Emergency services were called and police arrived at the scene at 3.45pm today, witness Haydn Dias said.
Mr Dias said that the crash happened at about 3.15pm.
He added: “I didn't see it, but I heard screeching tires and heard the impact.”
He said that the front of the car was left significantly damaged, but added that no one appeared to be injured.
An RAC recovery vehicle came to collect the vehicle at 4.30pm and left twenty minutes later, with police leaving the scene at around the same time.
The lamp post was later taken down by the SSE electricity company, Mr Dias said.
