POLICE officers carried out a drugs raid at a property in Blandford.
Blandford Neighbourhood Policing Team, along with specialist and partner agency support, conducted a drug warrant at a Church Lane house at 7.20am on Monday morning.
The property was raided in search of the potent chemical Fentanyl.
A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of class A drugs but was subsequently released without charge.
Inspector Danny Thompson, of North Dorset police, said: “Because officers were unsure of the chemical materials that would be encountered, various precautionary measures were taken, including wearing specialist equipment.
"However, we would like to reassure residents that there is not believed to be any risk to the wider public.
“If you have any information or concerns in relation to drug activity, I would encourage you to come forward and talk to us in confidence. We are focused on working with the local community and our partners in addressing any concerns local people may have.”
