A flood alert has been issued for rivers and streams in west Dorset following 'persistent' rain over the weekend.
The Environment Agency has warned of possible flooding as river levels rise in the area.
Some roads, especially in the Char valley, are expected to flood. Drivers are also urged to take particular care when using Gassons Lane at Whitchurch Canonicorum and minor roads around Wooton Fitzpaine.
The Environment Agency warns that these conditions will continue through the first half of this week.
