A charity has followed up a fast-selling recipe book by launching The Great Dorset Bake Sale.
Diverse Abilities Plus hopes the event will raise thousands of pounds to help its work supporting those with profound physical and learning disabilities.
The bake sale runs from May 7 to 14, with charity supporters encouraged to host events across the county.
The charity’s recipe book, Scrumptious Home Baking, which includes recipes from chefs, celebrities and key supporters of Diverse Abilities Plus, can be used to provide inspiration.
Sadie Smith, a charity fundraiser and a parent of a child with disabilities, is the driving force behind the initiative. She said: “The Great Dorset Bake Sale is a fantastic opportunity to raise funds, especially for those keen bakers out there.
“We just need you to get baking and then hold a bake sale or coffee morning.” To set up an event, visit the charity’s website www.diverseabilitiesplus.org.
