Ticket holders

THE Mount Pleasant site will be taken over by the Olympic Delivery Authority to be used exclusively for 2012 ticket holders for the duration of the Games.

There will be temporary sites at Littlemoor, Monkey’s Jump and near Kingston Maurward near Dorchester providing space for thousands of vehicles to park during the sailing events in Weymouth from July 27 to August 12.

The Littlemoor facility, off Littlemoor Road, will provide parking for 1,835 vehicles between July 27 and August 12, and buses will take visitors to the Olympic sites.

There will be short-stay car parks at Melcombe Regis car park with 112 spaces, and the Harbourside car park with 86 spaces. These will be limited to three-hour stays.

There will also be the multi-storey car park in Weymouth town centre with 450 spaces.

Long-stay and overnight car parking will be at Lodmoor Country Park with 300 spaces.
