FEARS are growing for an elderly man who has gone missing from his home on Portland.

Kingsley Morgan, aged 73, who lives at Easton on Tophill, was last seen on Friday at around 4.30pm.

Dorset Police, who have been searching the island, said they were increasingly concerned for Mr Morgan and have released a photo of him.

They are also appealing to members of the public for information regarding his whereabouts.

Acting Detective Inspector Steve Symms said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned about Kingsley’s welfare.

“I would encourage anyone who has seen or heard from Kingsley to contact Dorset Police immediately so that we can establish if he is okay.”

Mr Morgan is described as 5ft 6in tall and of medium build with grey untidy hair.

He was wearing beige coloured trousers and a fawn coloured knitted jumper when last seen.

A large-scale police and coastguard search has been carried out to try and find Mr Morgan.

Concerned friends said that Mr Morgan was well known on the island and appealed for anyone who may have seen him to come forward.

They praised the emergency services for their help in trying to find him.

Those close to Mr Morgan believe he may have last been seen at the top of Reforne, but do not know his movements from there.

Friend and neighbour Bill Munro said: “I have known Kinglsey for more than 25 years.

“As far as we know he was seen at Reforne but we do not know his movements from there.

“The emergency services conducted a big search in bad weather on Friday night and Saturday morning, They are doing a good job.

“We just want to find Kingsley.”
