PUPILS arrived on horseback, motorbikes and in vintage cars for their prom on Portland.

Royal Manor Arts College gave their Year 11 students the chance to celebrate the end of their exams at the Weymouth and Portland Sailing Academy.

Majik the horse brought her owner Holly Scott to the event while other party-goers arrived in a fire engine and stretch limousines.

Among the other vehicles on show was an E-type Jaguar, ice cream van, a Triumph Stag, beach buggy, pink Cadillac and a red Rolls Royce.

The pupils enjoyed a three-course meal and a disco overlooking Portland Harbour.

Teacher John Webb, who has left the school after four years as their year head, returned to see his former pupils and join the celebrations.

He said: "They are a fantastic year group and I've got no doubt they will be extremely successful."
