Fashion students show off designs

ON PARADE: Pupils from Budmouth display their creations down the catwalk

TEXTILE students from three Dorset schools modelled their work in an action-packed fashion show.

Outfits encompassing costume design, fashion pieces and street culture took centre stage at Budmouth Technology College, Weymouth, last night.

Students from Corfe Hills School, Broadstone and The Woodroffe School in Lyme Regis joined the Weymouth pupils to celebrate a year's hard work.

Around 500 people attended the New Look-sponsored Fashion Show 2008 for a night of wine, canapés and catwalk entertainment.

Head of textile development at the school, Liz Fabbri said: "We tried to incorporate as many schools as possible from the local area.

"All the three schools involved have sixth form A-level textiles so we've got loads of amazing pieces the students are doing.

"They've made everything themselves.

"We also featured a little bit of New Look clothing at the end just because they're sponsoring the show."

The fashion show has grown year on year and Mrs Fabbri said this year's work was some of the best yet.
