RIDERS have been revving up for action ahead of Weymouth's annual beach motocross.
Some 276 bikers are due to line up on Sunday for the charity event organised by Weymouth and Portland Lions Club and the Purbeck Motocross Club.
The event, which traditionally attracts thousands of spectators along the seafront, starts at 1pm and will involve six races taking riders along the water's edge and then over seven sand jumps stretched out along the beach.
Purbeck Motocross Club chairman Alf Stearn said: "We normally get about 15,000 people, it's free but we do ask you to donate some money to charity or buy a programme as the whole objective of this meeting is to help us raise money for local charities."
