Boreham Wood 2000's U18s vanquished Herons Youth 6-3 in the Herts County Cup semi-final on Sunday.
This Wood victory saw a hat-trick from Usfia Hamed. He was joined on the scoresheet by Gary Rowland, Danny Gruar and Terry Chamberlain, who all netted one apiece. Boreham Wood take on Bedmond Youth in the forthcoming final.
Wood's title-chasing U16s defeated Hemel Celtic 3-1 in a West Herts League clash. Though Celtic took the lead after just 30 seconds, Wood returned fire three times to clinch victory.
Wood's first strike came from Kerry Hood chipping past the keeper. The second goal was a Ricky Burrows penalty, and the third was delivered by Joe Hazell.
Boreham Wood's U15s drew 2-2 with Evergreen in a Bushey Friendly League (BFL) encounter.
After trailing 2-0, Wood mounted a brilliant second-half fightback and banged in two goals. The first was a Sam O'Connell penalty after Stephen Mayers had been brought down. The second was a blinding header from Mayers, a contender for strike of the season.
Boreham Wood's U11s were also involved in a BFL double header, drawing 2-2 with Abbots Youth before defeating them 6-2.
In the first match a Luke Gellard brace helped Wood come back from being 2-0 down.
And in the second match, which saw a resurgent Wood, Gellard netted four times. Neil O'Connor and Wayne Huvloll bagged a goal each.
Wood's U10s defeated Edson Youth in a BFL double header, 1-0 then 2-0. Boreham Wood's U14s did not play.
