I’ve always wanted to go on a patisserie course, but I thought that I would be too young to do it, writes Budmouth College's Aidan Ritchie.

However for my 16th birthday I was presented with a patisserie course for Patisserie Rowland.

Here they teach you the ins and outs of patisserie in detail and with patience.

I have met new and exciting people during this course, people I would never have met before like Mandy Heath, Eric Littlehales, Andrew Archer, Doreen Marchant and Brian Morris.

Their unique and amazing personalities have lightened my day.

The laughter simply blooms throughout the room.

Whether you’re kneading, mixing or filling, everyone always puts a smile on your face. With the course including pastry, bread, chocolates, choux pastry, small cakes and tortes there is something for every occasion.

You’ll be able to design shop cakes for home and impress your family and friends with your new creation.

I’ll certainly be using my new skills that I have learned during the course at home. And I hope that everyone likes my baking as much as I like cooking it!
