THE nation has been left devastated by the sudden death of the much loved Cilla Black.

The 72-year-old Liverpool, singer, actor and entertainer, the one and only Cilla Black, was found dead at her Spanish villa in Estapona by the eldest of her three sons on the terrace of the villa.

An autopsy confirmed that when she got up, she lost her balance and fell which caused her to be knocked unconscious, during which time she died from a stroke.

The public and celebrities alike are all shocked and deeply saddened to hear the news, with people taking to social media to express their condolences and give their love to the family.

Among these was actress Sheridan Smith, who portrayed Cilla in the ITV drama ‘Cilla’ last year led tributes on Twitter, calling her 'the most remarkable woman.'

In a statement by her family, her three sons Robert, Ben and Jack expressed their appreciation to the public for the heart warming tributes and messages they have received, saying that they have ‘really helped us through these difficult times’.

They also said that they would like to bring her home to the UK ‘as soon as possible’.

People who have grown up with her, say that there is no one else like her and that she will be ‘sorely missed’ by the whole of Britain.
