A SCHOOLBOY who stabbed his supply teacher after an argument and then took to Facebook to boast, could be freed from youth custody in three years.

This is something that many are still struggling to come to terms with.

The 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, apparently argued with teacher Vincent Uzomah when he confiscated his mobile during the lesson, and in a rage, stabbed his teacher in the stomach before running away.

The teen has recently been sentenced to 11 years, six in youth custody and a further five years on license. Reports suggest the youth could be out on parole after three years.

Even though this racially motivated attack has been described as 'utterly shocking', the teenager could be freed within three years for good behaviour, which in my opinion doesn’t really act as a deterrent to other youngsters.

After the vicious attack, the boy fled Dixon’s Kings Academy before boasting on Facebook.

He created a callous rhyme regarding the incident in a post that was liked more than 60 times.

In court, the prosecution described the 14-year-old as 'a bully', and said he had taken a dislike to Mr Uzomah in the weeks he had been working there; and that he told a friend that he was planning to stab a teacher.

Although Mr Uzomah feared for his life, he survived but has suffered psychological injuries, as well as physical ones.

However, shining through as an extremely decent man in this dark modern-day society, the teacher said 'as a Christian I have forgiven this boy,’ but he still stated that ‘it was, however important for the law to run its course and for a strong message to be sent out.'
