Many people must find it hard to avoid unhealthy foods, especially if they have busy lives and are always on-the-go.
During the day, a simple snack on-the-go is the easiest choice to make as they are quick, easy and cheap, however these snacks are often the unhealthy ones.
Sugary snacks and drinks are often much cheaper than fruit and vegetables in local shops and supermarkets, which makes it even more tempting to buy the easier option.
There is also a myth that certain foods and drinks increase your energy levels and that is why some people choose them. But there are now plans to introduce a sugar tax on drinks.
This levy is aimed at drinks with a high sugar content, particularly fizzy drinks which are most popular among teenagers and children.
I think the tax is necessary because if things carry on the way they are, and people continue to make unhealthy choices, more and more young people and children will develop obesity and suffer the health consequences that come with it.
