Homelessness is a huge problem across the world.

Already this year, 46,550 people have become homeless in England alone. This is a huge statistic and I think it is more than likely it will rise.

Homelessness can be caused by, amongst other things, a change in an industry- when a work place is destroyed and workers are left jobless.

This leads to them losing money and, ultimately, becoming homeless as a result. Homelessness is a terrible thing that leads to vulnerability on the streets.

More than a quarter of homeless people are children; can you imagine a young child being alone in the street at night?

Town centre streets, especially at night, aren’t the best places to be, even if others people are around.

People take advantage of vulnerable people. There are many trusts and charities to help the unfortunate, such as Shelter, and, in my opinion, they are very generous.

I think they are helpful for providing a warm bed and good food for others and we should support them as much as possible so that they can continue to carry out important work
