Last Wednesday, March 19, between 4.15 and 4.45pm, my car was parked in Church Street, Dorchester, behind Waitrose car park.

This is a message for the selfish, inconsiderate individual who, during that time was too lazy to return their Waitrose trolley to the supermarket premises.

Instead, they abandoned it against the side of my parked car, causing considerable damage to it.

On returning to discover this, my feelings immediately led me to assume that the parents of the individual responsible had apparently never married.

Be that as it may, I certainly don’t feel that his/her situation is sufficient to justify the behaviour which I have described above.

However, if that person would care to do the decent thing and send me, via the Dorset Echo, a note of apology and a cheque for £600, the estimated cost of repairs for the damage caused to my vehicle, only then may I feel slightly more kindly disposed toward that despicable individual.

Meanwhile, I have to say that I am a great believer in 'what goes around, comes around'.
