I AM writing on behalf of Wareham Town Trust to thank Wareham Town Council for their excellent work in refurbishing Wareham’s public toilets.

Now we have facilities that we can be proud of, that will be appreciated by residents and visitors alike.

The work of the town council and all the generous partners is very much appreciated – and all without a penny of town council tax payers money!

The refurbishment has provided excellent facilities in the town centre and on the Quay, the town’s popular visitor destination.

The opportunity was also taken to enhance the appearance of the town, with the Quay receiving a real uplift.

The welcome that visitors to Wareham will receive is much improved and this will no doubt contribute to the improved vitality and viability of our special town.

Thanks also to the main grant funders, Viridor Credits and all the generous partners including Purbeck District Council, Synergy Housing (Neighbour-hood Zone 6), Imreys Minerals, East Stoke Parish Council and Mike Richards (proprietor of the Quay Inn) who rendered the front elevation of the Quay toilets as well as providing hanging baskets, flowers and water irrigation.

Our thanks to all concerned.
