I would like to say a big thank you to a very kind lady who came to my aid outside Weymouth hospital walk-in centre on the morning of Monday, August 11.

My husband had to leave me there to go and check on our granddaughter, whom we had left behind. My coat was taken with him as the weather was pleasant.

I was seen earlier than I had anticipated, meaning I had to wait outside.

At that moment it started to rain heavily.

A lady appeared from the flats opposite and leant me her umbrella to use, as well as staying with me until my husband returned.

This extremely thoughtful gesture is an act of kindness that alas we do not see much of in today’s society.

I do not know her name, but would like to thank her through your paper hoping she will see this message of appreciation for her kindness.
