LAST week, like I’m sure everyone else did, I received two new green boxes with lids, a new kitchen bin and kitchen caddy and for me, two rolls of blue bags.
I already have an identical green box and a brown kitchen bin as well as a black canvas bin-bag that I received last year. I also have my own purchased black bin.
Dorset Waste Partnership want us to recycle, yet it seems they have no interest in recycling their own for no collection of what they have delivered in earlier campaigns is going to be collected.
In particular I’m sure everyone has a green box that could have been used for glass and a kitchen bin that they could have used. How much has it cost to manufacture all of these plastic boxes?
What are we going to do with all of the boxes that are now no longer needed?
I am a keen recycler. I’m horrified at how much extra, unneeded plastic has been manufactured to replace what was perfectly good for use already.
