As Weymouth residents feeling quite weighed down after a week in which we nearly lost Scotland, the Middle East sank further into turmoil, the NHS seemed shakier than ever and flash floods swept the south-east, we felt we must write to say what a joy it was to step away from the radio, put all troubles aside and make our way down to Lodmoor Country Park on Saturday to see the ‘Must be Barking’ Fun Dog Show.
What a wonderfully relaxed afternoon we had. The weather was just right, and even complete dog novices like us couldn’t help but be entertained by the kaleidoscope of classes.
So many thanks to the Friends of Lodmoor Country Park for a lovely afternoon that really lifted the spirits – we’re looking forward to the next ‘Must be Barking’ already!
