Two connected stories in Tuesday’s Echo: The front page highlighted the consequences of Weymouth and Portland Borough Council’s mismanagement of the Condor affair and page four tells us of the campaign to save the Ferrybridge Inn.
If this redevelopment goes ahead it will put an end to any hope of a Wyke bypass once and for all. It was the congestion in Wyke that was a factor in Condor’s decision not to relocate its operation to Portland.
The borough council’s attitude to this will be interesting since it is obvious that anything that might benefit Portland seems to be a no no.
