I have just made the effort to travel into Weymouth through the horrific traffic system to secure my tickets for my idol Ken Dodd.

I have been a regular in the belief that if you do not use a service then you cannot give an opinion about it.

The comedians in the past have been close to the knuckle and, in my eyes, were certainly not suitable for a family outing.

After arriving out on the Pavilion car park I found the council have taken away the free parking.

Are they intent on closing this old girl and building on a public piece of real estate?

I will not pay the rip-off car parking fees foisted on locals and tourists alike to buy tickets, something that takes me no more than five minutes.

The council and the cohort of die hard stick-in-the-muds tell me time and time again that they are striving to improve Weymouth to entice tourists back.

The man in the street could tell them where they are going wrong.

We need people who care for Weymouth.
