Although there’s a lot of negative reporting about the NHS at the moment I would like to say for what little we pay into the service, the care is second to none.
Our own practice in Wyke has always been there for us, the girls bend over backwards to get you an appointment that day and the doctors will ring you back and speak at length to reassure you.
I know a local businessman who told us on numerous occasions he was covered by a well known firm.
Everything ran smoothly until he developed an illness and his points were quickly swallowed up and he was unceremoniously dumped in a charity care hospital where he got a semblance of dignity back and a peaceful end. Long live the NHS.
