THE Echo reports that Portland has a one-in-three chance of becoming the operations base for the Navitus windfarm if it is approved in September.
I’m surprised that the Echo didn’t think that this was worth a front page headline, It is potentially the biggest employment opportunity here since the MOD left Southwell in the 90s. I only hope we can expect a more partisan approach from our MP. I believe he has opposed the windfarm, in support of the opposition camp in east Dorset, but if the project is adopted in September, I hope he will puts his full weight behind it.
