WILL West Dorset District Council ever admit that the Dorchester Charles Street development is a non starter?
At the Executive meeting it was decided to close the agreement with Simons the developer, but in the same breath to establish a task and finish group to drive forward a new project.
Having very recently spent £1M buying the Community Church and now owning the whole site, it may finally have the chance to create a more efficient car park.
The local taxpayers have the right to enquire just how much money has been expended so far and for what reward.
I understand that the whole Charles Street programme has been rumbling along for some 40 years, perhaps now is the time to grasp some acumen from the Brewery Square improvement.
