A COUPLE of days ago my car was hit by someone jumping the red light. Bad enough.
I got an incident number from 101 and was told to go to Poole Police Station with my insurance, MoT etc.
I had to wait for two hours to complete a report, then another hour on the phone to the insurers to report the accident.
I was amazed to be told that the CPS don’t prosecute in these cases as “it is not in the public interest”. Why?
The individual jumped a red light (an offence to which I had an independent witness), caused damage to my vehicle and narrowly missed injuring myself and my two grandchildren who were in the car at the time.
Can someone please explain why we are paying for the CPS when they fail to act to protect the public?
