Richard Drax never fails to disappoint in his column but I am forever hopeful that he may one day write about a local issue instead of spoon feeding us with his limited and one sided take on many national and international issues.
However, I note in his most recent column (1st April ) he questions the UK's ability to control steel production and implies this relates to EU membership.
This is, of course, a complete contradiction to his , and the Tories commitment to signing the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) deal which will have a far greater detrimental effect on not only the UK steel industry but manufacturing, food production, the public sector, the environment, the banking sector and of course 'our sovereignty' which is 'their' vocal argument for leaving the EU.
The real Tory agenda for leaving the EU is to abandon the Human Rights Act , the one thing that protects the individual from the State, for which Drax has consistently voted against.
I do wish they (the politicians ) would be more honest about their intentions and say it as it is.
