BY THE will of the British people (though not all of us agree) we’re going to regain our “independence” from the EU.

But the EU is apparently demanding that EU courts should continue to have jurisdiction over EU citizens in Britain, even after “independence”.

And it sounds as if some Brits actually support this demand.

Well I never!

What would the Indians have said if Britain had demanded to retain jurisdiction over British citizens in India, post-independence?

Or, let’s say, the Jamaicans?

They would have been outraged if Britain had made any such suggestion.

But we never even thought of doing so, of course!

In the present negotiations, all the aggression and all the demands are coming from the EU’s negotiators.

It’s puzzling that some of our fellow-Brits seem to support them.
