MONDAY morning I drove over the Ridgeway from Weymouth to Dorchester.
What an amazing sight - hundreds of traffic cones protecting the team tidying up the Ridgeway verges and keeping the traffic in one lane up and one lane down.
Thank goodness they are removed for the rush hour.
So I progressed over the Ridgeway obeying the clear 30 mph signs. As I reached the top I looked for the white derestriction sign with a black bar on it allowing me to carry on at the national speed limit of 60 mph.
There wasn’t one!
Should I have carried on to the Tesco roundabout at 30 mph?
Needless to say I didn’t. Hope I don’t get a speeding ticket.
