Blackbushe Airport celebrates her 75th year of service to aviation this July. An airfield that has seen Kings, Queens, Presidents and Prime Ministers fly from her runways, first opened in November, 1942.

A major wartime base, the airfield was considered London’s second airport during the 1950’s. During this period Blackbushe became synonymous with the growth of new British independent airlines, and was also the US Navy’s only UK land base!

Closed by the government in 1960, now privately owned, the airport is home to flying schools and a major jet air-taxi operator. Blackbushe Airport today offers great potential for business flying while being an exemplary good neighbour airfield.

For your chance to win one of four family tickets (2 adults and 2 children), simply answer the following question:

Q. When did the airfield first become operational?
