ENVIRONMENTAL enthusiasts got together for a ‘walk and talk’ along the River Char.
Dorset Wildlife Trust and the Environment Agency explained how they worked together as a partnership to reduce pollution and improve the quality of the river’s water.
The River Char has suffered in the past from pollution incidents that have had the potential to reduce fish and invertebrate populations significantly.
Nick Grey, who led the walk on behalf of DWT, said: “It’s great that a good number of people took the time and effort to join in on the walk.
“Emphasis was placed on the need for more volunteers.”
