Welcome
Welcome to Dorchester Life
WELCOME to the latest edition of Dorchester Life, the community magazine looking at what’s on in and around our county town.
This month we take a look at the work of influential sculptor Dame Elisabeth Frink, who designed and created the beautiful and thought-provoking Martyrs Statues that stand in South Walks.
Sherborne House, in Sherborne, is currently hosting a rare exhibition of her work and we take a look at what visitors to the gallery can expect to see.
Spring is in the air and with it come the lambs at Kingston Maurward. We talk to the college about the joys of this time of year and the attractions on offer to visitors to the college.
Antelope Walk is one of Dorchester’s most historic areas. Town Crier Alistair Chisholm tells us about its bloody history and how the town came to be associated with one of the country’s last revolts.
Dorchester Life also contains several regular features including a comprehensive what’s on calendar, plus a road test of the new Mazda6, recipes, gardening tips and much more.
We have now started producing our interactive page-turning version of the Dorchester Life publication. Just click on the cover image below to view the whole publication on-line.
