THE musical magnificence of Lakeside Magic celebrates 10 years this summer with a series of shows that will be the best yet.
The annual musical and fireworks extravaganza which takes place around the lake at Kingson Maurward has become one of Dorset's summer highlights.
For four nights in July, the grounds of the agricultural college near Dorchester are packed with crowds of music fans who come to the venue with family and friends to party, picnic and enjoy the wonderful music and stunning fireworks displays that end each evening.
This year promises to be an extra-special occasion as some of the biggest names in showbiz are coming to Kingston Maurward to help celebrate 10 years of Lakeside Magic.
On Thursday, July 10, there is the magic of Motown with special guest Alexander O'Neal. The evening will be an authentic recreation of the way Motown was presented back in its heyday during the 60s and early 70s with music from such legendary artistes as The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, The Four Tops, The Jacksons and more.
The following night, Friday, July 11, you can rock to the music of two of the best tribute acts around - Queen b and Bee Gees Magic.
Queen b was formed by Paul Jackson 12 years ago and they will be rocking the Lakeside with Radio Ga Ga, Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You, Don't Stop Me Now, We Are The Champions and many more.
Not to be outdone, Bee Gees Magic will bring you the Gibb brothers at their best, from Saturday Night Fever through to Jive Talking and beyond.

Revel in the lush sounds of the 1960s on Saturday, July 12, when the New Amen Corner and the UK Beach Boys will bring you a stunning medley of hits ranging from The Mighty Quinn and Nights in White Satin to the sunny sounds of California - Good Vibrations, I Can Hear Music, I Get Around, and, of course, Surfin' USA.
The four-night spectacle of Lakeside Magic ends on Sunday, July 13, with Miller Magic, a celebration of the Big band era, and the incomparable sound of Jane McDonald and her Orchestra.
John, Glen Miller's nephew who bears a remarkable resemblance to his uncle, has taken over the family mantle and is joined by vocalist Fiona Page in numbers such as Chattanooga Choo Choo and I've Got A Gal In Kalamazoo.
Jane McDonald found fame as singer on the cruise ship Galaxy. Since then she has gone on to global fame and her legendary live performances range from sell-out concerts tours, starring roles in West End musicals, Royal Command performances and headline shows at the MGM Grand Las Vegas.
Don't miss this chance to see her in Dorset!
