Set to make a splash

COLOURFUL costumes went on show to kick off a packed programme of activities this weekend.

Youngsters taking part in Weymouth College workshops were treated to a sneak preview of some of the Spirit of the Sea festival characters set to make a splash.

Kinetika dance leader Leila McMillan, left, donned a nautical-themed outfit as part of the children's lunchtime entertainment.
