DARREN Hallett warmed up for this weekend’s IBFA World Championships by bagging fourth place at the UKBFF British Finals in Manchester.
The owner of Fitness World in Weymouth earned his place in the national showpiece after winning his class in the South West qualifier.
And after progressing from the pre-judging stage, Hallett was joined by five others for the grand final, where he eventually placed fourth.
He said: “I was very pleased with making the top six in the country, especially after 24 weeks of dieting and training.”
Hallett will now join the British team tomorrow as they fly to Rome for the World Championships, where the Wey-mouth bodybuilder is aiming to improve on last year’s fourth-place finish.
With each competitor having to cover their travel and food expenses, Hallett is on the lookout for sponsors.
