Dorchester Town have moved quickly to reassure fans following shock news about a potential winding-up petition.
The Magpies, who host Tonbridge Angels this afternoon (3pm), were made aware of the notice late on Friday evening and have since posted the following statement on their official website.
It reads: "Late on Friday the board of directors became aware of the Ministry of Justice website which showed Dorchester Town Football Club Ltd listed with a winding-up petition for Monday morning.
"The board was shocked and surprised as the club is up-to-date with all creditors. The club has not received any notice of a winding-up petition and confirmed there was no notice in the London Gazette.
"As it was late on Friday the relevant offices were closed but the board can only assume it is an administrative error. The board wishes to reassure supporters that the club is on a good financial footing particularly after our run in the FA Cup."
Echosport has this afternoon contacted chairman Shaun Hearn and he expressed his shock, saying: "This has come completely out of the blue.
"We don’t owe anybody any money and hopefully it will be put to bed on Monday."
* The Magpies' Dorset Senior Cup home clash with Hamworthy United has been rescheduled for November 6 (7.45pm).
