7:57pm Tuesday 1st January 2013 in Sport By Echo Reporter
BIDEFORD 2 WEYMOUTH 1
MATT ANDREW scored twice to end Weymouth’s six-match winning streak in the Evo-Stik League Southern Division.
The Robins edged a 2-1 win in front of a season’s best gate of 373 at the Sports Ground.
Andrew opened the scoring in the 62nd minute with a spectacular volley and the midfielder won the game after a calamitous mistake from Terras’ keeper Simon Evans.
Scott Walker had equalised for Weymouth with a left-foot strike but Andrew pounced in the 69th minute, clinching the points as Evans lost the ball trying to take on home striker Kevin Squire.
