Late strike denies Magpies victory

HAYES & Yeading substitute Jamal Lowe struck twice to rescue a draw at the Avenue as Dorchester Town let victory slip through their fingers again.

An own goal by Adam Bygrave and Ben Watson's 77th-minute strike appeared to have given the Magpies all three points.

But Lowe responded with a brace, the second coming in injury time, to make it 2-2 - Dorchester also conceded in the dying stages against Truro City on Tuesday to drop two points.

Pick up the Echo on Monday for a full match report and reaction from Magpies boss Phil Simkin.

Time for Simkin to go. Let Heath take over as soon as possible before relegation becomes a reality

Sadly, i have to agree with the above comment. The team are showing a naivety at the moment that could cost them very dear.
Heath has the potential to rise through the managerial ranks and end up managing in the football league. Will DTFC be brave enough to make the decision now. Personally i would keep Simkin in his suited role of assistant manager.

6 weeks ago SImkin was the main man, now after a few dodgy results you lot are all over him. If you win a couple of games in hand you'll be back up at the right end of the league it's so tight.
Get a grip of yourselves and just see what happens as I can't imagine the board are going to sack someone who's just earnt the club a load of FA Cup money and replace him with someone who's only managed Portland?!

Youve missed the point. He is not a top manager but a good worker and should remain at the club as a general assistant or somethimg similar. Heath is destined for the top,All managers start somewhere and Portland is a good club and an ideal starting place for him. With Heath in charge Dorchester can move forward into greater arenas.

Simkin was never the main man my friend. All the sucess so far is down to Heath. Its not to late for a role rversal. Make Heath manager and Simkin and Kitely joint assistants.

With the greatest respect, Dorchester will never move forward in greater arena's. The town has never got behind the football club and without the support (cash) coming through the turnstiles or a money man taking over they will always fall short, even with the best management in the world. Unfortunately, non league football is exactly the same as the Premiership and other top European leagues but on smaller scale and the over riding element that proves crucial is geography!
Weymouth had good times for a few years but are now paying the penalty. There's a lot to be said for having a settled club with sensible people at the helm, something which thankfully Weymouth now seem to have.

Bedpans, odd that the criticism of Simkin has only emerged since you've capitulated after the cup run, you are and always will be the lesser of Dorset's two premier non league sides, regardless of what leagues the respective clubs are playing in, the average attendances over the course of the season and the embarrassing numbers that went to Luton in a massive cup tie will see to that!
