Terras determined to get Exmouth game on
9:14am Wednesday 30th January 2013 in Sport By Adam Summers
HAND INJURY: Mark Ford
WEYMOUTH will do everything they can to ensure tonight’s friendly with Exmouth at the Bob Lucas Stadium (7.45pm) goes ahead.
After back-to-back postponements in the Evo-Stik Southern Premier Division, the Terras are desperate for some game time ahead of a tough trip to Gosport Borough this coming Saturday.
Boss Brendon King told Echo-sport: “There has been quite a bit of rain over the past couple of days but hopefully the pitch will be fine.
“It was certainly pretty good on Saturday and to be honest we are just desperate now for a game.
“We have got a lot of tough matches coming up and the lads really need to get some minutes under their belts. It is vitally important we try and get tonight on.”
Scott Walker (knee) and Mark Ford (hand) are both doubtful for tonight but trialist and ex-Ply-mouth Argyle forward Jake Vickers is expected to feature.
King added: “Matt Groves, Lewis Clarke and Ashley Wells all got minutes for the reserves on Satur-day but we were only allowed to play three when we really could have done with including a few more.
“Tonight will give us that opportunity and I am also planning to take a look at Jake for the first time after last week’s friendly against Brid-port was cancelled, so it should be a good exercise.”
