THE Colliton Club Golf Society AGM saw Keith Fisher present a cheque for £1,000 to Emily Jenkins of CLIC Sargent.

The 2012 captain raised the money during his reign, with all the funds coming through donations from all the players throughout the course of the year.

Andy Cliff has been elected the society’s new captain with Cheffey as his vice, while Fisher has become chairman.

Cheffey will also continue on the committee as secretary alongside handicap secretary Richard Holmes and treasurer Neil Gatehouse, who was presented with the Batts Order of Merit Trophy as the best overall golfer of 2012.

CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children and young people, and their families.

It provides clinical, practical, financial and emotional support to help them cope with cancer and get the most out of life.

They are there from diagnosis onwards and aim to help the whole family deal with the impact of cancer and its treatment, life after treatment and, in some cases, bereavement.
