IT was Charlie May’s turn to go goal crazy for Dolphin as they smashed nine past Dolce Vita in the Weymouth Sunday League Championship.

The previous weekend Rob Maxted hit five for the table-toppers in a 7-5 victory at Broad-mayne but on this occasion it was May who did the business, banging in the same amount of goals in what proved a far more comfortable game.

Andy Bell, Mark Cheater and Dean Hauser also got on the scoresheet before player-manager Andrew Trav-ess wrapped up the 9-0 victory with a wonder goal in the very last minute.

The victory keeps Dolphin four points clear of Portland Town with a game in hand and a far better goal difference.

The second-placed islanders profited from a 5-0 walkover against The Lounge, who were unable to raise a side.

Elsewhere, Belvedere overcame Broadmayne 3-1, Weymouth Athletic defeated George Jewels 6-0 and Sailors Return enjoyed a 3-1 success over Moby Dick’s.

Meanwhile in the Premiership, Rodwell strengthened their lead at the top following a heavy defeat for second-placed Rendezvous.

Rodwell beat Weyline 4-1 while the Vous were hammered 7-2 at Britannia, leaving the Boot Hill outfit six points clear of the nightclubbers having played two games more.

The other game in the division saw basement boys Alexandra pick up only their second point of the season in a 1-1 draw with Market House.
