THE Wessex Flyers enjoyed some spectacular results at the South West Regional Trampoline Competition at Bath University.

The buoyant club, which is based at Budmouth Sports Centre in Chickerell, sent 11 youngsters to the event and came back with seven podium medals and three grade improvements.

Shannon Healy, Mireia Grimalt and Alistair Watt led the way by winning their sections while other top-three places came from Merryn Harvey, Jack Baker, Ethan Hawkins and Sam Murphy.

The Flyers train on Thursdays (5-7pm), Fridays (5-7pm) and Saturdays (2-5pm). Anyone wishing to find out more can contact Teresa Rogers on 07763457016.

RESULTS - Alistair Watt: Moved up to Grade E and finished 1st in Grade F Over-17 Males.

Mireia Grimalt: Moved up to Grade E and finished 1st in Grade G Over-17 Females.

Shannon Healy: Finished 1st in Grade E Over-17 Females.

Merryn Harvey: Finished 3rd in Grade D Under-15 Females.

Jack Davies: Finished 4th in Grade G Under-15 Males.

Jack Baker: Moved up to Grade F and finished 3rd in Grade G Under-15 Males (not in photo).

Ethan Hawkins: Finished 2nd in Grade F Under-13 Males.

Sam Murphy: Finished 3rd in Grade D Under-15 Males.

Liam Critchard: Finished 10th in Grade G Under-13 Males.

Luke Elkinton: Finished 9th in Grade G Under-13 Males (not in photo).

Ella Thornicroft: Finished 10th in Grade F Under-15 Females (not in photo).
