THE annual Dorchester Schools Area Partnership (DASP) First Schools’ Year Three and Four Six-a-Side Football Tournament took place at Milborne St Andrew First School.

Twelve teams from the partnership schools took part on a cold and blustery afternoon.

The teams were organised into two pools of six with the top two from each progressing through to the semi-finals.

The final was contested by Milborne St Andrew and Damers First School with Damers winning 2-0.

The event was led by Milborne St Andrew First School. However, much of the arrangements and the running of the event was completed by a group of Year Eight sports leaders, led by Levi Daley, from Dorchester Middle School.

The sports leaders refereed games, collected scores, calculated points and ensured the smooth running of the event.
