SOME thrilling local derbies are on the horizon in this year’s Dorset Funeral Plan Saturday League.

The first games scheduled to take place on May 4 will see Weymouth host Poole Town and Dorchester entertain reigning champions Wimborne & Colehill in the Premier League.

The opening day will also see Beaminster travel to Christchurch in Division Two and Bridport host Weymouth Longshots in Division Four.

However, it is Division Three that could provide the most intriguing action with Weymouth Seconds, Dorchester Seconds and Portland Red Triangle all scheduled to do battle.

Portland will open their campaign by hosting Dorchester Seconds at Reforne while Wey-mouth Seconds will travel to Broadstone Thirds.
