PORTLAND’S Chris Walker was in scintillating form to win the Dorchester Triathlon by more than four minutes from the rest of the field.

Walker finished first out of more than 100 athletes at an event which was held at Dorchester Sports Centre and organised by 1610 Leisure Centres.

The Bustinskin ace came home in a time of 1h 2min 42secs after hardly putting a foot wrong across the three disciplines, which included a swim, bike ride and run.

There was an almighty tussle for second with Wimbledon Windmillers’ Thomas Jeffrey edging out Dan Whaites by one second.

Chris Burton and Paul Adams made up the top five while Adam Gough in eighth place was the next best Bustinskin competitor.

The first female home was Kathryn Dickinson of West Country Triathletes, who finished 28th overall in a fine time of 1.22.15.
