RUGBY: Cheer for Puddletown ace Chidley

FROME THIRDS 5 PUDDLETOWN 10
PAUL Chidley grabbed the all-important try for Puddletown in their hard-fought victory at Frome Thirds.
Debutant John Churchill scored first out on the right wing with his first touch of the ball but the resulting conversion was missed.
Handling errors and infringements then upset the flow of the contest before good interplay around the fringe of a breakdown saw Frome level.
It was clear Puddletown needed to raise their game and moments later they did exactly that when a break from number eight Chidley saw them regain the lead before half-time.
After the break both sides again worked hard but there was far less continuity and as a consequence there were no further scores, enabling the visitors to hang on for a hard-fought win.
Puddletown currently sit fourth in Dorset & Wilts Two South, just one point adrift of the top three.
